US Bank
Overdraft fees charged on positive balance Ripoff

Business & Finance

Since when does a positive balance mean that you are bouncing a check?

I had a company run my credit card twice. My balance in the account was $49.00. However, since the company that ran my card twice did that, my available balance was $1.00. So, when my purchases for $2.75 and $3.75 came, I was assessed overdraft charges. $68! Obviously, this made my account negative.

US Bank says that I should have called when my account was charged twice. LIKE I KNEW! Only one charge was actually posted to my account. Where do they get off charging people overdraft fees when the funds have not actually been taken out of your account?

That's it! I am closing my stupid US Bank account, and going to a bank that will be easier to deal with.

If there is ever a class action lawsuit, I will be happy to see it and happy to participate.
