Ripoff workmen comp. Delay tatics

I got hurt @ work off shore & it's been 15 weeks & they are paying my docter 7 therpy bills but, have not paid my lost wages yet they said they sent a check out but forgot to put the lot# on the address (which i still get my mail even if it doest have the lot# on it) then they have to wait for the bank to confirm that, that check was canceled so say that takes awhile but that was a month ago. They said they mailed another check & still didn't see that 1 eithier. They just keep lieing they never sent a check. What is the purpose of these delay tatics, maybe to run me deep in deapt don't know but they are so wrong to do this to ppl. My wife is 7 & a half months pregant & they r about to shut our elc. Because we can't pay the bill because of these ppl. Anyone knows how i can get these ppl to pay. I'm told the state of louisiana the polititions own most of the insurence companys & protect them & that louisiana has the crockest polititions in the world. I know alot of smart asses come clown ppl's grammer on here so i will say now i'm sy but i'm not the smartest person in the world. So any help would be of help before the lights go out.
