Best buy? Is a joke because of hrs-usa

With ENRON fresh on our minds, I thought Corporate America would be cleaning up its flaky accounting practices. However, at HRS-USA, these practices are the norm when it comes to financing a camcorder at BEST BUY.

It's real simple, they don't send you a bill one month, then hit you with a $29 late fee. They agree to waive the late charge if your next payment is on time. You send them a check 12 days ahead of your due date. However, it mysteriously takes 14 days to travel across 3 states, so you're hit with another late fee and a rude refusal to waive the first one because your payment did not arrive on time. If that was not enough, they charge you interest on the first late fee because it was not waived and is now past due.

How could this happen? Is it my buy-now pay later mind-set or is it the fact that HRS-USA will not make any money off of someone with good credit, who pays on-time and receives a 0% financing deal with BEST BUY? Through several e-mails, chat-rooms and reports, I guess there are hundreds, if not thousands of us out there that have been duped by BEST BUY's financing offers.

This story cries out for action, but form whom? I know I, and hundreds of others that will never purchase another product from BEST BUY because of incidents like mine. Furthermore, how can BEST BUY continue to associate themselves with HRS-USA if this problem is so wide spread? Don't they care about their stock price, let alone their customers? Where is Dateline, the Factor, 20/20, etc? No..., better yet, where are the class action ambulance chasers that need an extra billion or two? ATTN: PO'd CSMR seeks OOW ATTY looking to get $!!!
