I was verbally harassed, accused of lying & fraud yet they called the wrong # based on 3rd rate info

Approximately 8:29 am MST on 6/10/05, I received a call on a home office number from a GC Services rep. The rep asked for someone by name that I do not know. I am registered on the Federal and the State of CO Do Not Call lists; I do not accept telemarketing calls or divulge any information to potential telemarketers.

I responded to the reps query that the person he was asking for does not resides at this phone number. The rep asked for personal information which I refused to offer. The rep became argumentative and accused me of misrepresentation.

In between his accusations he did provide the name of his company (GC Services) a phone # (800.753.8354) and the name of his supervisor. What barely passed for a conversation (more of an argument) continued with my asking for additional info, informing him that I viewed this call as harassment, and repeatedly stating that I was not the person they sought nor would I divulge any personal info.By the sheer act of not divulging personal info I was repeatedly accused of lying and subject to verbal harassment.

I became so incensed at this reps demeanor, his approach, his tone, and his rude misguided assertiveness that I immediately researched the company via the internet and found that they are guilty of numerous transgressions. I have made contact at the corporate headquarters of GC Services (6330 Gulfton, Houston, TX, 77081); I've sent inquiries to the offices of the Ohio Attorney Generals Office, the District Attorneys Office for Southern Ohio, the Columbus Better Business Bureau, and other entities.

I am interested in speaking to someone within the media concerning GC Services business approach and the outright accusations and harassment.
