Fifth Third Bank
Isn't Robbery Illegal?

Business & Finance

Well, Bank of America gets away with so others can follow suit? Banks are allowed to change the order that checks are paid to maximize their own profit? I have lost several Thousand dollars in NSF fees because of this. The deposits are not posted for at least 24 hours. Fifth Third bought the bank we loved and it has been downhill ever since.

I know what you all will say "Stop writing checks without money in the bank".

Well just when I think it is safe to go back in the water, here they come again. Does it make sense that if you use the debit card and this money is deducted from your available balance immediately but then a check can come in and that one is paid first just because it is higher??? This should absolutley be illegal. The bank states that they do this to protect the consumer... I say B.S. Protection would be to pay as many as possible to reduce the injury to the consumer by several fees. So maybe the consumer would have only 1 fee vs. 5.? 30.00 vs. 150.00? Hmmmmmm who are they really protecting?
Anyone interested in a class action?
