My payments now go to Santa Ana California, but the loan originated in Michigan as specified above.

My complaint: I "closed" a loan with them In July. I had to provide 3 years of Bank and IRS Statements (original documents ONLY) and these were never returned. The original Loan Officer guaranteed a lower Interest and Lower payment than what I had currently, but in the end It is HIGHER in both categories, so much so that I cannot pay any other bills. They promised that I would not incur pre-pay penalties with them, but I'm locked in at 3 years WITH prepay penalties.

How could I have been so stupid you ask? Because I never signed an original document... I initialed where errors were made and was told that an entire package would be Fed-exed to me in 5 days for my review and approval if I so chose. Those papers never came... instead, I received my first payment coupon that indicated what my % was. It has been hell and they were to have paid 2 of my other debts off, but did not. They were suppose to pay the summer taxes, and failed to do so. Even my first mortgage was shorted and I had to pay all of these things out of pocket.

They are not willing to work with me. I have a file 2 inches thick with letters that went unanswered because I grew frustrated with the phone calls.in the past month the company started doing business as AMC out of California. Of course, they know nothing about anything and have not received the files so they claim no responsibility. What can I do?
