I received a call April 15 on my cell phone, a number that was only given to an intrenet University, saying that I have been awarded a $5,000 grant from the US Government that I will not have to pay back.
They had my address and phone number and then they asked for my bank information so I could get my free grant. I stopped the individual and started asking questions. The individual then informed me that I was awarded the grant because I pay my taxes. I then asked the indiviual why they needed my bank information and the answer was to that i could get the grant. I then ended the call by telling them I was not interested.
If you are reading and logging on to this site I don't need to tell you of the importance of not giving out you personnel information to any company that you don't personnally know.
