Ripoff they said that the grant had been approved by Transunion and Equifax and that they were the companies giving out the grants, all lies

Today I received a call for my son from American Grant Information Center. The man said his name was Paul Johnson but he barely spoke English. When I told him that my son was at university he asked if I was a family member and then went through the whole story about the $5000 grant. He said that the grant had been approved by Transunion and Equifax and that they were the companies giving out the grants. After I asked him several questions, he became annoyed and said "Don't waste my time." So I hung up.

Tonight they called back. This time it was the "manager". He explained the grant again and then wanted my street address. He said he would be sending a packet of information. Then he wanted my bank information. I, of course, said No. I told them not to call back again.

They are very rude on the phone but they must be getting some customers. The manager refused to give me a phone number. I hope this scam is shut down soon.
