First National Credit, Credit Card Scam

Business & Finance

I received a letter saying I had "Pre-Qualified" for a $15,000 credit card. I receive dozens of these and know the fine print, but this sounded legitimate. So I "gambled" the $37 dollar application fee. When I received the information, to my dismay, I realized this wasn't a VISA or Mastercard, but a First National Credit Card to purchase ridiculus products from their own catalog.

When I realized I had been "scamed" I tried to call the toll free number in my packet. I got nothing but a recording that said "due to a high volume of calls, we are unable to speak with you unless you are a member." So when I gave the member number I never ever got to a live person.

This happened with every customer service number that was given in the packet. When I went out to the website any contact information directed you right back to where you started. A total run around. Somehow, I managed to leave a message and get a call back (some days later) and was told in order to get my money back was to send the entire package back to the address list.

After I did that, I have heard nothing. They have the money and don't intend on giving it back. I was so pissed off I wanted to send out "Guido" to handle my dirty work. I hope these people get what's coming to them, that is a hefty fine and some jail time. Scamers should be eliminated from the face of the earth.
