Ripoff, rude, illegal tactics, dishonest, harassment

I needed a quick loan and found Cashnet 500. Their fees were high but I thought I could pay the $300 loan back with no problem. I made 4 payments as agreed plus extra towards the principle.in mid December my employer closed the doors and I was out of a job. I contacted Cashnet and told them the situation and told them not to debit my checking account as the funds would not be available.

They did anyway and caused overdrafts to my checking account. I again contacted them told them not to debit the account as no funds were available. You guessed it they hit my account again several times. The overdrafts they caused were excessive so the bank closed my account.

Over the last 3 months they continue trying to access the closed account. They know the situation but are not interested in making other payment arrangements. They just keep trying to access this dead account and sending me 15 emails a day complaining that they can't access my account for their money. What part of closed account don't they understand.

Fred Urey, keeps calling and harassing me for the money. I paid them over $350 before all this happened. He calls my daughter harassing her and her family several times a day that it is urgent he get in touch with me or I will be going to jail. He spoke with my husband 2 weeks ago and he explained the situation to him and he called both of us deadbeats and told my husband he had better wake up and be more aware of my finances. My husband finally hung up on him. The harassment continues.

Today after calling my daughter again and threatening her with arrest if she didn't pay the money I owed he called me again. I told him I was still unemployed (not through my choice) and when I found a job they would get paid. He told me he understood things happen and they would like to work with me. Then he asks when I plan to pay back the money. I again told him when I found a job. He asked when will that be. I told him I did not know. He then told me that the money had to paid back that I couldn't just borrow money and walk away. I told him I had already paid over $350 to them. He called me a liar and then proceeded to yell at me calling me a thief. He continued yelling that I had stolen $300 from them and I was stealing from them and he was going to get the money from either me or my daughter (which had nothing to do with the loan). Finally I hung up on him.

Please don't be stupid like I was. Don't deal with these people. They aren't satisfied when a loan is paid. They just keep coming after you for more.
