Ripoff Horrors. Mortgage Company from hell

We have been having serious problems with Homeside Lending based in Jacksonville, Florida since they purchased our mortgage from Liberty Bank in 2000. Our current problems are in connection with our Allstate Homeowners policy which Homeside failes to recognize despite the fact that it has been continuously in effect since we purchased our home on 12/29/00.

Despite the many faxes sent to the Homeside Lending Insurance Department by both Allstate & ourselves with documents showing proof of continuous coverage, Homeside continues to insist that they have no record of continuous coverage on our home & are "purchasing" us insurance through their own company & adjusting our mortgage payments accordingly.

As of today, 2/21/02 we and Allstate have faxed Homeside all the required documents to three different fax numbers as per request by the Homeside Lending Insurance Dept and they insist that they have no records from either Allstate or from us concerning this issue.

I have had no success in communicating with the Insurance Dept& the Customer Service Dept is unable to help me in this matter. I feel that it is all an illegal ploy to extort higher mortgage payments from customers & should be reported to the Attorney General's Office ASAP.
