Closed on Mardi Gras and would not accept my deposit but let my checks go through and charged me $60 for 3 checks

I got paid on the Monday before Mardi Gras and went to deposit my check at the Amsouth Bank in Gonzales on my lunch break. I was working 12 hr days so I put my check in the ATM which should have credited my account right there.instead 2 checks and 1 ACH went through that day and my account was charged $60.

When I called and went to a branch they told me that they would not reverse the charges even though they admit that they should not have alowed my checks to go through when they would not accept deposits. So I closed the account and took the money from my paycheck minus the fees out of the account and told them not to send anymore checks through on that account.

Well the ACH was resent by the company and again Amsouth charged my account.By the time they were done I had a -120 balance on my next months statement. I disputed and they said that they took them off seeing that the acount was already closed by the time the checks went through. A year later I tried to open an account with Citibank. It was declined because Amsouth reported me to Chex systems and now I have a mark on my credit. I believe they did this because I fought them on the issues and closed my account.
