Ripoff Said I have late charges which I don't they just post them to your bill

I called Capital One just now and asked why I was being charged a late fee of $29.00. I hope this was recorded as it should have been. But first, if my bill comes and it says pay $30.00, I will pay $300.00. That's just what I do to keep the balance down. The Visa card if it says pay $15.00, I pay $75.00. My statement read, pay by March 5, I sent the payments out March 1st. I called to check my balance on both cards on March 6th to see if payments where received. The recording says thank you for your $300.00 payment received on March 4.. Same thing goes for the Visa card. I called and asked the lady why did I receive a late charge of $29.00 for my Mastercard and she tells me the payment was late.

I proceed to say that the payment stated March 5 on my statement which was mailed back to them with the payment. I must say one word led to another and yes I got upset. I did not use any words that where not called for. She continues to holler at me, will not let me speak, started laughing histarically and said to me, I was going to take the late off, and still laughing hung up. These are great people we are dealing with. I understand the woman probably does not have a high school education and does not know how to speak. But this person should not be on the phones talking to people. I try very hard making sure they received there payment on time and this is what they do. As I said I did get a little hot myself but they do not have to laugh at you. What is sad is I read all the complaints about Capital One on the Internet and did not listen. To all the people out there that think that Capital One is doing you a favor by sending you a $500.00 credit limit card, beware. They make up for every thing with some kind of charges. If you had bad credit and you think by getting a Capital One charge card is going to help your credit, they will find a way to destroy you. The other sad thing is they probably read what is written on this site and continue to laugh...
