Ripoff fraudulent bank charges and theft

I have just become a victim of their scam as well. I wanted to pull my credit report for an auto purchase in October or November of last year. I went to their web site where I was given the option of paying for the credit report or signing up for a free trial. I chose to pay up front and did so for the credit reports so that I would not have to remember to "opt out" or cancel anything at a later date. I was charged for both my credit report and my wife's credit report. Today I was billed $79 for an annual subscription. I called and they agreed to cancel my account but only offered me a prorated refund. I was never informed that I was obligated for a membership, I was not notified by e-mail or writing, and I did not sign anything. The fact that the bill is now 5 months after the fact tells me that they are offering prorated refunds so they can rip people off for months of membership they never knew they signed up for.

This company should be burned to the ground.
