Ripoff Duplicate claims

I admit that I wrote a bad check. It was an accident. Then I got a letter in the mail from Certegy saying I owed them $46.76 for the check. I set that aside and was going to pay it when I got paid the next week. The next day I got another letter sayind I owed $66.76. I looked and saw they were claimed it was the same check number, same date, and same store, but two different ammounts. I called Certegy and they said I had to talk to the store. I took both papers to the store and asked to see the check. I let the man in charge see both letters of collection and he said that the one for $66.76 is right and he had no idea where the other came from. I informed Certegy and then paid the one that was right.

A month later I received a second notice saying that I owed $46.76. I called Certegy again and once again explained everything. They said they would take care of it.

A month later I received another attempt to collect from them.

As of yet I have been unable to get them to stop sending me letters of collection. Yesterday I recieved a final notice saying I have 10 days to pay or they will take legal action.
