Ripoff Debitted my checking account for $248.00 for a $2000.00 Credit Card no interest for 3 years

I was called on my cell-phone 02/03/05 by a party purporting to represent Spectra Financial Benefits, Champlain, N.Y. I was offered a $2000.00 credit card, no interest for 3 years, and 8% per annum thereafter with the ability to up the credit amount as my credit improved.

I refused to give my SS# or bank #'s over a cell phone, so this person called back on my land line 30 minutes later. That data was given. I agreed to a one-time charge of $248.00 for this service, and this debit occurred on 2/8/05. Card was promised within 10 working days.

When no card arrived today, I smelled a dead rat, got on the net, and here I am! The male voice calling me twice gave a name which I didn't catch or record. Tel.#'s given were 866-202-5077 or 800-634-2979. Neither of these numbers will recognize Spectra Financial Benefits being there. I was given a contact person # and a Pin # we shan't go into here.
