Amex travel stealing money from members! - airline tickets

I ve bought a ticket thru American Express Travel using AMEX credit card, I had to cancel trip because of paperwork issues so I was unable to travel. Ticket was paid 1590 $ while the same ticket on cheapoair was 1290$, the reason why I paid extra 300 $ thru amex is so I can be protected in case of emergency but obviously we are not protected as members. They refused to refund me money back and I have followed what ever they told me to do. My friend had same situation but he got his money refunded, weird, but he is US Citizen and I am not so my English is not great. Anyway AMEX took my hardly earned 1590$ and they do not want to give me penny back, and did cancel ticket the way how it was suppose to be canceled. If I do not get the refund back, I will close my AMEX account and I will make sure to be the one to let others know about AMEX TRAVEL PROTECTION SCAM!!!
