TD Ameritrade distribution request and a FAIL - TD Ameritrade customer service

Needed some cash quick from my individual account.instructions were to sell some shares, have check ready for me at local branch 2 days later. Went there, no check. They did sell shares, but no follow thru on issuing check and sending to branch office. There's something else - this is the second time it's happened. I'm changing to another company. Is there one that I can rely on?
