Fundamental Consumer Strategies
Ripoff $299.00 stolen

Business & Finance

I've just been reading all of these entries about this company shaking my head - sounds EXACTLY like what I've been going through with this company for the past month.

I was contacted on my cell phone by a man in late October offering me my choice of an unsecured Visa or Mastercard with a guaranteed minimum credit limit of $2,000 - $2,400 with a one time membership fee of $299.00. I agreed to the terms of the card, and then gave him my checking account number plus my routing number (VERY dumb move).

They debited my account for $299.00 on 11/12/04. The person that I spoke with claimed that I would receive my card within three weeks of the date my account was debited. December rolls around - still no card. I contacted them last week on 12/16/04, and a young girl answered the phone - I told her what was going on and she sounded very surprised that I had not yet received my card. She told me that I should have received a card over two weeks ago, and that she would have the card re-shipped via air mail and I would receive my card within 2-3 business days. She sounded very sincere, and apologetic so I believed what she was saying.

It's been a week now, and still no card - I've been calling the customer service number all this week, and everytime I try to call it takes a minimum of 15-30 minutes pushing redial because their lines are consistently busy. When I do finally get through I get the run around - someone always telling me to give it one more day and I will get my package containing my card, and the finance company's information. After reading the complaints on the site I have a feeling it will be cold day in hell before I get a card from anywhere.
