Ripoff dishonest fraudulent billing for a check that was resubmitted and paid through my account

I had a check that was submitted to my account that was resubmitted and paid yet i still received a letter asking for the amount and a charge of $25. This was fraudulent as the check cleared the exact amount the following day it was resubmitted. Certegy when called said they did not have that information and i needed to send the amount of the check plus $25 or i in 30 days it would go on my credit report as bad dept. I have recently divorced and do not need any more harm to my credit as i am trying to rebuild.
