Credit education group rip-off! Credit card fraud! Scam!

Company called me this morning before 10am and I, being 9 months pregnant and barely awake, I know stupid, I gave my checking and ss# over the phone to the company.

They told me I was approved for a 2500.00 credit card visa or mastercard and that there was no monthly or annual fee's and the interest rate was 8.5%.

The card would be fed Ex'd to me 10 to 15 days after I pay the one time activation fee of 299.00. The Gentelmen I talked to was George McClaw, he told me that if I didn't have the money now I could post date a check for up to 30 days which would be December 24th. I agree'd and he said a account verication would call me in 5 to 10 minutes to verify and give me a acct activation number. Its been 3 hours no one called.

I found this site and knew immediately I was scammed. I called the customer service number and was directed to leave a message and I called my bank to stop payment on the money. I now hope that I am safe and they don't try to take more than the 299.00 out or something else. I feel better knowing my bank knows whats going on. But I still don't feel safe from these people yet, which is a crime in itself.
