Ripoff work at home scam

One of the ways that iMergent makes money is to sell services to entrpreneurs at 90 minute demonstrations that they host in hotels all around the country. The advertiesements that they send you by direst mail do not identify the company. They promise to show you "how to create income from the Internet". They promise a dinner and a gift.

I attended and event in Central California. The event was overbooked by 100%. I arrived 10 minutes late after fighting 40 minutes of traffic. I was told by an exausted representative that there was no room left. Even though I had a reservation, and even though they had called to confirm - He also said that I was easily the 30th person he had turned away, and there were 5 people behind me and more arriving.

I hacve no ide if iMergent is an honest supplier, but they definitely have a practice of overbooking these events and then turning away lots of people who bothered to rearrange their schedule and keep their appontment.
