Ripoff ruined my parents anniversary gift by arriving very late

I gave my parents a night out with their two kids (and our spouses) for their 50th wedding anniversary. They were supposed to pick us up at 5:30 on a Friday evening. The driver arrived at 6:45. Our repeateed calls to the limo office went unanswered (directly to an answering machine) or was answered by a surly man who told us that the guy was on his way and what did we expect? Tehre was traffic.

Of course there was traffic! That was part of the reason we hired a car, so we could rely upon what ostensibly was their expertise at traffic situations on 128 on a Friday afternoon and we would relax and enjoy.

We missed our 6:30 dinner reservation completely and almost missed the 8:00 show. The driver drove like a maniac, aggressively switching in and out of lanes, jack rabbit starts and skidding stops. My poor 78 year old mother almost had a coronary right there.

As this was a special event, I did not want to make a scene and called the company the following week. The woman who answered the phone shrugged off my complaint saying that traffic happens.

Traffic happens, but most limo companies would plan around the traffic and make sure they arrived at least at their pick-up desination clsoe to on time. This guy was an hour and fifteen minutes late! Give me a break.

Ludwig's should have their limo license revoked.
