Today I had my first and last experience at The Salon at Ulta. I was going in for a simple hair cut, but it turned into a disaster. The hair dressers name was Theresa. From the beginning I knew she was essentially clueless. I'm assuming she was new because she kept asking other hair dressers where things were, etc. After a very long 15 minute wash, she sat me in her chair. At that point she started promoting services to me, saying I should get highlights, etc. I told her I was not interested in highlights and she kept pushing them on me. That was only the start of my irritation. Then, she was done cutting my hair, and offered to flat iron it once she was done drying it. I assumed she would do a blow out and quickly run over it with a flat iron, so I agreed. But I had assumed incorrectly. She quickly dryed my hair without styling it, then proceeded to flat iron it. To say the least, my dad could've done a better job. After about a half hour, she quickly shuffled me out of her chair because she had another client who was supposed to be started at 5:30, but at that point it was already 5:50. I go to checkout and pay and I see a $10 charge for Flat Iron. I could not have been more irritated with this woman. She was completely unprofessional and not talented. If you ever consider getting your hair cut at the Ulta in Horsham, PA, certainly ask for anyone EXCEPT Theresa.
