Affordable Massage Screwed up Their Calendar then Refused to Honor Groupon Appt. - Massage therapy

I purchased a Groupon for 3 massages, but misfiled my reminder in my calendar. My bad. Upon noticing that and calling, I was told I could still get the 3 massages with payment of a late fee at each, which I thought was fair and even generous. I scheduled the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd appointments. I attended the 1st appointment, no problem. At the 2nd appointment, the therapist noted her supervisor could do back/neck adjustments, which I needed, so she and I sat together at the table while she rescheduled my 3rd appointment. This is where the problem began.

While rescheduling, she forgot to remove the old appointment date/time. I received a call on that date/time and explained the appointment had been rescheduled. Upon hearing the date for which the new appointment was set, the therapist noted that the supervisor with the skill to do back/neck adjustments was out of the office because her mother was in surgery. He wanted to call her while she was awaiting the outcome of her mother's surgery (!) for this trivial matter, and I told him to instead please just tell her to call me when the time was better for her, so we could again reschedule the third appointment.

Instead, I received a call today saying that since "you canceled the last two appointments" they would no longer honor my last paid-for Groupon appointment!!!

I suspect the problem here is one of training the therapists (who apparently act as their own scheduling staff). The first made a mistake in rescheduling, and I suspect the second did not convey the message correctly to his supervisor. I am VERY unimpressed with how they handled this.
