My 17yr old daughter purchased a acer laptop for about $300 dollars in the last part of august. A little over a week ago (beginning of Nov), 1/3 of the screen went blank. We contacted at least 4 other stores, none of them had an acer for replacement. E finally found a Kmart that actually had the computer for replacement (in Oaklawn, IL. @ 95th and Pulaski. We had the original package and all the contents and we also had the receipt. My daughter also purchased the smart plan (the additional warranty for the product). Well the customer service clerks and even the manager, Vicki, refused to service her. They referred to a banner on policy and it didn't pertain to the situation at hand. Vicki also pointed out the @nd paragraph on the back of the receipt, speaking of a 30day policy. It still didn't pertain to the current situation. We had a basic receipt, expiration for exchange or refund was 11-13-11. The smart plan is an extension of warranty AFTER the manufacturer's warranty. This was explained repeatedly to Vicki. She just walked away. Customer service was the absolute worst, i should have never stopped shopping at target!!!
