Non working hair color - UL61 hair lightening

HI I tried your UL61 ultra lighting hair color. Well I was disappointed when it didn't work. I followed the instructions and when I was done my roots were lightened but the rest sad still dark. I have medium dark brown hair so I couldn't figure out why it didn't work. I even left it on for an extra five minutes. I have used other loreal products and never had issues. Is there a money back guranttee on hair color. I would love to try it again but would that be a waste of money. Please respond back
