Horrible customer service and they allowed someone to use my ss numbe

A tech was to come instahl services never showed. I called DTV to see what was going on and the women on the phone goes "you have been flagged for using another customers social security number" I asked her why I never got a phone call because this customer is using MY social security number and her remark was "It is not our responsiblity to contact you" I asked her how else was I to find out? And she hung up on me. I started my phone calls at noon and did not stop for about a week and every last person hung up on me and or belittled me. I even was told to put a copy of my social and dl and drop in in the mail! So I guess they dont believe in identity theft. Luckily I have identity theft protection but this company swears they checked that social and it came up this other guy... Nope no way even the social security office verified my identity... But thats not good enough for DTV and neither was letting one of the many dtv vendors in my area verify my documentation. Long story short I asked for my payment in advance back and was told "thats not going to happen its non refundable".in short this company takes your money refuses to give you service and keeps your money. Also they dont check your SS number so why do they even bother asking? If they really checked I wouldnt be having to use my insurance to stop this guy from going into collections with my ss number. What awesome ethics DTV! I ended up going to another company and will NEVER consider DTV again in the future. A company has never made me so irrate before in my life.
