NOT MY BILL - Dishonest billing and record keeping

My e-husband has a bill with direct tv. Last week on or about 09/30/09 I got a call from my bank saying that direct tv was trying to pull money from my account only my account my x is not on this account and never has been. He sometimes had me pay the bill for him out of my account or off my debit card and that was fine I autherized that transaction for just thost times. Anyway my bank says that the just kept hitting my debit card with lower and lower amounts trying to get money! I never once autherized this transaction nor did i sign anything stating I would be responsible for this bill! I immediatley called direct tv and spoke to service representative that assured me he would take my card and account off file and that would never happen again! Feeling pretty safe that it wouldn't happen low an behold I went to check my bank account last night 10/02/09 and yep you guessed it they hit my account again! Now keep in mind that I am disabled I am on social security and my income is fixed I don't have alot of money and the money they took from my account was my car payment which is due on the 5th of OCT. I again called direct tv and was transferred to a supervisor and believe me when I say I was so angry words came out of my mouth that I just don't say. Worst of all I was told there was nothing I could do about it because my card and bank account are on file and it "says in thier fine print" that they can do that. I don't know what their talking about fine print my ass no one told me I would be responaible for their bill if they didn't pay it, and I certainly didn't see any "fine print" when I was paying on the internet" IT ONLY ASKS IF YOU AUTHERIZE THAT TRANSACTION! So my x called direct tv this morning and the rpresentative assured him that if I had my bank fax over a letter stating that this was not my x's account and his name is not on the account they would stop that transaction! Thank god right... wrong!!! He called back to tell them my bank had immediatley faxed that paper over and the next representative said they would not return the money too my account! WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON AT DIRECT TV? My bank has assured my that if the money is not returned to my account they will take further action. On Monday I will be calling my state representative Lisa Maddigan and seeing what she can do believe me she is a hard ass and sues everybody and wins. This is the worst thing that has ever happened to me and I can only hope that the people at direct tv that think its ok to use unautherized transactions to pull money out of unsaspecting peoples accounts get what they got comming to them!
