Pathetic Installation!

I spoke with Customer Service with Direct Satellite TV, to indicate I was VERY upset about the method of installing my Satellite. C.S. Representative argued with me about the matter, and had a very cavalier attitude about my complaint.

I had to leave my apt. For an hour, and left my adult daughter to let the installer in, if, indeed, he came while I was out.

Rather than going through the AC with the cable from the dish which was installed on my balcony, he put it through the patio door—a large cable which runs on floor of balcony door, along my living room floor. He also said it would cost me $6.00 more per month for insurance because this cable often breaks!!! It looks HORRIBLE, and I should not have to pay for insurance for it!

I arrived home as the installer was packing up his tools. He laughed at my reaction, and said I could have the cable installed through the A/C if I had permission from my landlord. Why wasn't this discussed when my landlord, the Direct TV sales rep., and I were having a three way discussion a few days prior, regarding whether or not Direct could connect without drilling holes into the balcony?

The customer service rep. Said I would have to pay to have installation through the A/C. I told him this was not an option, but they should have done it that way in the first place.

I am not going to continue with Direct if they don't install the dish properly—through the A/C.
