Bills Nearly Double the Quoted $37, Then $400 Cancellation Fee

I created an account with DirecTV starting on April 17. Most of the information given to me when I created the account was false: a monthly bill of about $37 and cancellation fees of $200.

But my first bill was $73. I called DirecTV and they asked me to pay only $52. The second bill was $104 and the third one was $74. I sent an email to consumer protection (Better Business) and DirecTV apologized for any inconvenience and promised to fix the problem, saying my bill would be about $40. But they kept charging me $73 a month, so I canceled my service.

Now DirecTV is asking me for $400 in cancellation fees and $144 for bills. Don't trust this company.
