Shows advertised as relevant to kids seem boring and unrealistic

A commercial on disney channel says they offer programming relevant to today's kids. I find that hard to believe. Disney channel airs show about talking dogs and kids who become famous by dancing on a tv show. They also air shows about millionaires who live in a penthouse. They also air shows about child prodigies and over night musical sensations. I know lots of kids who find these shows annoying and boring. I myself prefer the old disney channel. I don't know who writes these show but I'm sure they are adults. Why not take a poll asking kids what they want in a tv show or have them help write or give suggestions about new shows.
