Rip off scam!

After receiving a boading pass for caribbean cruise line I called the 1800 number. I was told that my bank submitted my name because I pay my bills on time. (WARNING 1) I was then pressured into giving them my credit card number. They told me that the credit card company would be on the phone as well to verify that this was not a scam. (WARNING 2).
When questioning wheather this was a scam I was told that the post office is not allowed to let scams go through if it has a first class postage stamp (WARNING 3). They wanted me to pay 996.00 for the extended stay, along with 118.00 port fees. (huh?).
