Deception

After booking I discovered that the hotel rate was less than the Hotwire rate even though Hotwire listed it as "super savings".in addition to the rate differential, I also wasted the cost of trip insurance since I would not have needed the insurance if I had booked the room directly with the hotel. This property was advertised on Hotwire website as "super savings" and "bayfront/marina", when in fact it was more that the property rate and was at the farthest distance possible from the bayfront. I consider this highly "deceptive" and reason not to ever use Hotwire again.
