Intown Suites
Beware it's a ripoff, scam, it's like living in a prison

Traveling & Tourism

Intown is one of the fastest growing scams in the hotel market. They make it sound like it is the best deal going. UNTIL you are trapped like a rat. My travel took me to San Antonio Tx to attend a wedding and visit family I havn't seen in years, so to stay in the area for a week just made since.

I called them and was told the rooms went for $155.00 a week plus tax and $100.00 deposit, there sign out front even said $155.00. But once I arrived I found out that the room would cost me $170.00 a week NOT $155.00, Ok so I still took the room, I was told that maid service was on Wed. One week from my check in day, and that I was to keep the room clean and neat all the time, or I could forfit my $100.00 deposit.

Once I arrived in my room and started to unpack I found no hangers I called the front desk and was told they do not provide them that I would have to go buy them if I wanted them, I also told them it there was only one small bar of soap in the room and it was unwrapped, He told me they only provide one bar a week and it is unwrapped for all the customers, I then asked if they pre-use the soap because the soap had been used. He said that he would send a bar up to my room... It never came.

Within the first 30 min. Of my stay I felt like I was staying in a PRISON. With all there stupid rules, there stupid office hours, There lack of service and the unwillingness to work with the CUSTOMER it really spoiled my stay.

The next day I turned in my check - out date sheet. Feeling like some little kid turning in homework so it wouldn't be late I asked about my $100.00 deposit and was told that I would get it on my check out date between 11: ooam and noon only. I said I had to be at the airport at 9:00am, he told me they would mail it in 12 weeks or I could have someone pick it up, I pointed out it in the stack of rules and papers I was given, stated I would get an instent refund. I was told that the rules changer after printing that... Ok what ever.

On the next to the last day of my stay I returned to my room and found it a mess, the bed that I had made was tore up, The stuff I had placed in the counter and fridg had been moved, the towels had been removed from the rack and just thrown in the sink and my suit cases had been moved... So back down to the office I go to see if everything was ok, thinking they had inspected my room for the next day check-out. I was informed that no one was in the room that I must have given a key to someone else "WRONG".

He told me that he could run a search on my door lock tomarrow at 11:00am and that would show what key entered the door at what time, I said I was leaving at 9:00am. He said sorry that was the best he could do. I said well the best I could do was to never stay in an Intown suite again and tell as many as I could not to stay in one, He said well there are a lot of people out there and good luck.

The sad thing is that I had other family members staying in two other Intown Suites in San Antonio and they too had the same problems that I had so I cannot say it was only at this location.

All I can say is that I will NEVER STAY in ANY Intown Suite again and will tell as many people as I know not to stay in one.
