Beware of Publishers Choice

I called Publishers Choice a couple months ago to order a set of travel videos on Italy. (Publishers Choice advertises in the weekend magazine in the Sunday newspaper). It became very obvious that the video offer is just the hook so that they can offer other travel related services such as membership to travel club, subscription to travel videos club...

I said no to all other offers and wanted to get just the videos. I gave them my credit card number for the videos. Some weeks later I received in the mail some promotional stuff about a travel club which I promptly threw out. This week my credit card statement shows a $72 membership to Travel Arrangements. I called them to dispute the charge and they agreed to refund the full amount. However my advise is save yourself the troubles do not call Publishers Choice. Their videos suck by the way - it is really a slide show with narration, not a real video with motion as I would expect.
