Traveling & Tourism

I worked for this company to sell vacations and cruises via the internet. It cost $498 to join their company and get started. Then I signed up for additional courses to learn more about the business. Plus I paid them $50 a month to send me leads and handle my account. I did everything they told me to; got an 800 number, bought overpriced business cards through them, joined the recommeded cruise and vacation orginizations, took lots of leads, called the customers back usually within an hour of receiving their lead, etc.

This company advertises 12-15% commissions. To date I have earned about $1200, $725 of which I am still waiting to receive.
The customer pays for their cruise or vacation within weeks of booking. Then the agent has to send an invoice to the company proving how much is owed to them the first of the month following the vacation being taken, which can be months later. Then the checks are supposed to be mailed at the end of the following month. For instance, I sold 4 cruises 6 months ago for which the company was paid over $15,000 and I earned $725. The people took their cruises in Mar. 2004. It is now mid-June and I still am waiting to be paid. They have lost my invoice, they ignore my e-mails, the accounting woman is out sick, ad nauseum.

Beware of this company and don't get involved in any way as an agent or customer. They are not good people to do business with and it has been a costly mistake for me.
