Extra Fees and Terrible Customer Service - airline tickets

(I completed this complaint while on hold for 38 minutes and counting...)
First and last time i will use cheapoair
- - - I booked roundtrip from San Francisco to Charlotte on CHEAPOAIR. I usually use Expedia - but CHEAPO was $40 less (well so I thought). I Sent 2 requests for seating assignments online, never received a response... BUT I was told for $11.95, they would HELP me get seats assigned. Really?
2 calls to their Customer Service and 2 hours on HOLD... $39 fee for one leg of flight on United Air and $6 fee for two legs of flight on Air Tran... OR show up at the airport to take a seat that is available. I have never had to go through this with Expedia or any other site.
CHEAPOAIR did not inform me BEFORE purchasing my ticket that seat selection-ASSIGNMENT was NOT part of their service, this is FRAUD.
Even though they have you send multiple emails requesting a seat ASSIGNMENT with a GUARANTEED 48 hour response time, it never happened. (never received a response to 2 requests). Once again I was told that for $11.95, they could assign my seats... Really?
CHEAPOAIR has the longest hold times that I have ever experinced and their representatives are trained to placate - NOT ASSIST their PAYING CUSTOMERS.
I will never use this site again and will tell everyone i know about this experience.
Their business practices amount to clear and simple fraud - are clearly misleading to the public.
