Econo Lodge
Is very, very rude and nasty to employees. Rip-off!

I used to work at the Econo Lodge in St. Clairsville ohio. I only worked there for almost a month. My boss told me that I was making $5.75 an hour. But, when I would get my cheack it would be only the amount of $5.50 and hour. Plus my boss was very rude to me and stoled all my tips out of my rooms. Plus she only bought cleaners one time to clean the place and I had to buy them after that out of my pay cheaks not getting reinburst for it.

Then when I quit the boss got up in my face and caused a big sceen of how I would come into work everyday and I'd be all bent over and I would complain that my back was hurting and I was tired. Which was a lie. Then me just being a stranger off the street that the boss hired so to speak asked me if I would find another employee to take over another employee's job cause they were'nt working out. So needless to say I quit!!!

Plus the customers were being lied to. One lady came in to rent a room only to find out that the sign out side said one price for the rooms and the bosses inside said something totaly different. And when I say totaly different I mean a $1o dollar amount difference. And when the bosses woere confrounted about this by the lady renting the room, they said it was tax. So that's a $10 dollar tax on a $55.00 a night room. The lady got flaming red and stormed out.

There was even one time that the lodge was out of cleaners cause the lady boss did not want to buy any and she told the house cleaning crew to use plain water to clean out the tubs and such. People don't know that when they get into one of those tubs they are getting into a infested filthy one. Thet has just been wiped out to make it look clean with plain water. This lodge needs to be inspected or shut down. Thank you for listening.
