We rented an RV, not the one that we reserved (because it wasn't back from another trip) and not the one that was ready for use when we got there (there was a leak in the water line they just replaced because they screwed threw it from under the floor boards). We got the RV that was just returned & hadn't been cleaned yet.

Our 1st day, 8hrs from WNY to DC, was horribly stressful. 4hrs in, the transmission was acting wierd, the speedometer shook all over the place then went to 0 (I had no idea how fast I was going) & it no longer accelerated.

The owner wouldn't reimburse me gas money to drive back, so he instructed us (thru one of his employees from his shop) to keep going on. We often had to pull on the shoulder because it continously slipped into overdrive.

He made us spend the next day looking for a garage to get it in to, sitting at the garage & then SCREAMED & cursed at my husband for letting me continue to drive it because "... Even my stupid-ass wife would have known there was something seriously wrong." We were then told, after an hour of belittling & hanging up on my husband, to find the nearest Walmart & wait for him to get there with another RV. We had now lost 2 of our 4 days in DC.

Many hours went by before my husband decided to call the owner to find out his ETA so we would know when to expect him. The same employee from earlier told us that the owner & his assistant weren't planning on getting there until the next day at noon, which was news to us, since he made it sound as if he'd be there that night. They were 2hrs late. We were forced to sleep in the Walmart parking lot, eating our $45/night campsite. What they arrived the next day, the owner refused to look or talk to us, leaving us to unpack one RV & repack the one I originally reserved. We got to see DC at twilight when everything was closed & pull out the next morning for Myrtle Beach. (Have I mentioned yet that my 88 year old grandmother is traveling with us to see family, some for the very first time)?

All was fine until after we left SC and drove thru Atlanta to Birmingham, Alabama, which is when we lost part of the siding. As our contract specifically stated that we were not to ever use duct tape, i made a call to the owner the next morning to ask if I could use it with plastic to cover the gaping hole. He asked if the piece missing was from the overhang on the passenger side, I replied yes. Then he asked if I hit anything, which I said no. Then he said, "That's really strange. I wonder how that could have happened." How the hell did he know exactly where the piece came off?!?!?

From Alabama to home would have been a 15hr drive. We decided to do it in 2 days. We would have done 9hrs the 1st day, but the plastic kept coming off causing us to stop so many times, that it took 16hrs to get to our overnight destination. The next day took us 8. He did not care about any of our issues.

*DO NOT RENT ANYTHING FROM THIS MAN*Please stay away from any type of rental from either Stacey's RV Rental or Clover's Clunkers. The owner is slimey & mean! He will treat you without dignity or show any type of morals. The only thing this man has to offer is a piece of CRAP!!!
