Happy overall

I used http:// bedmap.com / for a recent trip to Montreal. I entered my location and dates and hit go, and tons of hotels were found. I selected both "free wireless" and "free parking" from the side, which narrowed it down quite a lot. I selected "pool" as well but there were no hotels left with all three, so I went back to just free wifi and free parking, which narrowed it down to 6-10 places in the downtown area. One was on special for 20% off and was near a metro station and the reviews checked out, so I booked it.

A few days later I arrive at the hotel and it's a small independent place, pretty basic but I didn't pay much and it was safe and secure, so I was happy. Took them a minute to find my reservation but with the email printout they found it. They had only 4 or 5 parking spaces out front and they asked me to park in one of the small ones because I drive a small car, but it worked. The hotel was the Auberge ville marie. Nice lady inside, pleasant experience overall.
