Refused to Refund Charge

I made an online reservation. Tripres contacted me and said I had to fax them a copy of the front and back of my credit card and driver's license to confirm the reservation. When I checked with them as to the reason for this, they said to avoid fraud. When I asked what they did with the documents after they confirmed my ID, they said they file it in a supervisors file cabinet. I told them I did not feel comfortable with them keeping copies of my information in a file cabinet and asked them to cancel my reservation. The same day, they charged my card anyway. When I called to ask for a refund, they were not helpful, refused to refund my charge, and told me I had to file a dispute with my bank to get my money back.
