Trips Incentives Corp. I purchased a "life time certificate" as a "secret shopper" for $500.00. The company has never used my services

Traveling & Tourism

I purchased a "life time" usage of Worldwide Travel Center's "3 days and 2 nights" certificate vacations for about $500.00 in 2005.

The sales woman explained that I would be a "secret shopper". All I had to do was call WTC's reservation number and let them know which city I wanted to visit and I would go there and investigate that hotel.

I sent them a $50.00 deposit each time I made a reservation & received my deposit back once I sat through the time share presentation. I used the certificate several times but never was asked to "rate" the hotel and or it's time share presenters.

I was subjected to listening to "time share" presentations over and over again. I complained to WTC several times but nothing ever changed.

I have not used the certificate in about 2 years and decided to use it today. I called the toll free number and learned that WTC went out of business. The new company is now Trips Incentive.

When I originally purchased the certificate, I had over 9 cities in California to choose from. Now there is only one city to choose and that city is about 600 miles away from my home.

My certificate is now worthless and there is not a financial compensation.
