Marsh Ridge Resort Golf Course
A Beautiful Weekend Ruined

I hope to help someone else avoid the bad experience I just went through at Marsh Ridge "Resort". This trailer park with a golf course ruined a perfectly nice weekend by providing either poor service or worse yet, no service at all. We traveled over three hours to get to this "resort" and prepaid for a weekend of golf, meals, and a room at the resort.

What we found was a golf course without management. After spending over 3 hours attempting to play 9 holes of golf, waiting sometimes three groups backed up each tee. We asked at the club house for some assistance from a ranger, or other resort staff, only to be rudely treated by some bitter old lady in their pro shop telling us that it was our fault for waiting (as if we had a choice). We asked if anyone would help regulate play and help smooth things out, but we were told that they didn't have help for that on the weekends!?!?

Teeing off at 3:20 in the afternoon should never endanger your chances of playing 18 holes of golf before sundown in the summer. We never got the chance to finish the course. What a waste of time and money.

Then we had to stay in their rooms. They were dirty, and poorly maintained, and to top things off the fire alarm started going off in the room at 4:45 am! It rang for over 10 minutes straight and then rang on and off several more times through the night. We had to get up and make sure we weren't facing a fire, tried checking with the resort staff only to find out no-one was working, and the room's phone didn't work! When we told the staff of our experience the next day, we were greeted with indifference. This didn't sound new to them, nor did they think it was a problem.

No discount can make this "resort" worth the stay. Avoid it at all costs.
