LDS Travel misleading advertisement

Traveling & Tourism

Smooth selling people. They should be called the surprise people. They advertise a cruise then surprise you with hundreds of added dollars. Smooth selling people that prey of senior LDS people.

They should be called the surprise LDS Travel. They advertise a cruise that includes airfare, then they surprise you with flight tax charges plus they add airfare booking fees. Then they add more "surprises" pre/post tour package and then the pre/post tour package & pre/post meal package the above amounted to over $1000.2 nights in a hotel for $658, wow. The sad part is that they present a LDS image then slam you with charges. I canceled within 60 days for a trip still a year away and they charged us $1200. My wife have an uncurable illness, she is likely to die from it and I wanted to take her on a trip of her dreams.

Being LDS I went to LDS travel and was enticed with the free airfare for a trip to occur in 2012. I was not told about the over $1000 of added charges that I never approved of or wanted. Imagine $658 for two nights in a un-named hotel? What is a pre/post hotel package for $596 dollars. I wrote them went I sent my "trip deposit money" and it took them a month to respond with a confirmation. When I got the confirmation i was looking a trip of $4,000. When I called to get more info the lady on the line could not tell me which hotel I would be spending $300/ night on. They said the LDS guide was worth the trip in itself. It was an LDS push to confirm the trip.

People that prey on anothers faith and hopes and dreams should be shut down.br style=""
