Rebooking Fee of $750 Per Person to Change Flight by Two Hours

Had round trip from San Antonio to Newark NJ for $298 per person on Sept 11. Return from cruise late and tried to reschedule departure from Newark to SA by two hours. Was told by American that fee would be $750 per person from Newark to San Antonio. A rip off and price gouging by American. Booked Continental for $538 for two to SA. Have filed with US consumer protection agency and Texas consumer protection against American for ripoff and price gouging.
