Internet airline booking/reservation ripoff! Miami, florida

The following e-mail was sent, at the last possible hour, prior to getting my personal itinerary arranged; so that my business (restaurant) would be taken care of, while i was gone overseas.
The original ticket amount was $2,184.30
that's $371.00 extra
after spending 2 hours on hold, 'twice!' i finally get someone from india, that cannot speak good, in any language.
