Not disclosing additional fees before booking

I booked a hotel and when i called the hotel to reconfirm i was told that i was subject to a additional charge for parking of a very high rate. When i told them i had a contract with hotwire and a total price they said yes but that doesn"t include other "extras" when i called hotwire they said that their is a disclosure page that list in small print that the hotel may include other charges as they seem fit and even though hotwire is aware of those charges, it is not in the best interest of their business model to disclose that the hotel will impose certain other fees. One agent and two different supervisors indicated that if they were upfront with that discloser and did indeed tell the purchaser about the fees and amounts before the booking. Then that would allow the purchaser to "figure out" who the particular hotel is. And that would not be in the best interest of the company. I responded that if they were upfront in their pricing they would say the base price is xxxx plus you may have xx fee for this and xx fee for this and disclose what indeed that fee would be. They stated that if they did so then they couldn't offer the lowest prices. They have chosen to be dishonest as a business model to mislead the consumer into believing that they are low cost alternative. I urge all consumers to be aware that they are not honest in their business dealing and should be avoided.
