Charge for NonUse of Rooms Cancelled

I terminated a reservation a fortnight preceding and was informed they had A - 15 day cancellation policy. I never had this written down plus they nevertheless billed me top dollar for 2 areas for 2 evenings—$860.00. I tried the charge card organization plus they attempted to obtain my cash back. I submitted a problem with NY State Attorney General but still they wont move. I'm angry and want to inform Syracuse U. To no further recommend this hotel. After I named 1 800-ECONOLODGE additionally they understood nothing of the plan. I'd requested for verification notice after I reserved and not received it. I'm shocked but still considering all paths to obtain my cash back. I'd prefer to recommend everybody never to utilize an Econolodge resort when they understand whats great for them
