US Customs, Ripped off my uncle with presents that they stole, treated us citizen rudely, no apology

On May 29 1998 my uncle came from Germany with cans of closed and approved non catagious food that was very expensive to buy. It was inspcted by the german health department as all foods are and contained nothing contagious as it was for consumption by me and my mother as we were both born there and have eaten it many times and never gotten sick. There were also pens and pencils they were all in gift wrappers. They opened my uncles suitcase and just put them in the trash for later consumption by them and no apology and no 30 day notice was given either as the items were stolen and they have no right to steal items that are irreplaceable and expensive they should have asked him how much the presents for me and my mom were and write him a replacement check. He came to us then traveled and left again. They just wrote me that they would send him a letter of "Notice of Seizure and Intent to Forfeit" which other words is we stole your presents according to us being able to do so for whatever made up reason we say and you cannot do anything about it. Then they said if relief is given (how if the employees have it at home or already ate whatever they stole" the owner would be given instructions on how to recover the property. What a lie that is as he never received the letter and never was able to file a petition. Then i came back from germany and had my US Passport in my hand on 11/1 and was asked rudely: What are you doing here? Why are you here? Do you have a job? I felt like telling him well i thought then when your a citizen of the country your allowed to come back, i guess not. And what is it any of their business if you have a job or not. I thought this place was free but sure don't seem like it. Was hoping i would get a check for the items that were illegally stolen by the us customs in atlanta so my uncle could be reimbursed for the money he used to carefully choose presents for us and wrap them up in gift wrapper as it was also my confirmation to come and those were the presents.instead the criminals at the atlanta airport kept my and my mom presents and don't care about how they hurt people by doing that. I could understand if it was contagious items but it wasn't.
